Sheila Kampa, Ph.D.

Sheila Kampa has 17+ years of professional experience evaluating and developing senior executives.  She divides her work between small companies (some private equity backed) and large corporations. 

Sheila began her career at RHR International where she evaluated and coached CEOs and members of their Executive Management Teams in midsize to Fortune 50 organizations.  In addition, she helped to develop a proprietary approach to on-boarding and integrating executives into new roles.

Sheila then moved to Cerberus Capital Management, where she focused her efforts on leadership assessment across the deal life-cycle, gaining experience across financial markets and industries.  In her role, she worked extensively with portfolio companies and their leadership teams.

Most recently, Sheila was an associate partner at ghSmart, where her work focused on the assessment and development of portfolio company leadership teams as well as CEO succession planning within large corporations.  Her clients included leading private equity investors, hedge fund managers, start-up entrepreneurs and Fortune 100 executives.

Sheila has published extensively on executive coaching and executive integration and is considered a thought leader in both practice areas.  She has sat on the Board of The American Psychological Association’s Society for Consulting Psychology and holds the rank of Associate Clinical Professor of Psychology at the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies.

Sheila holds a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University with an emphasis in consultation and organizational development.  She lives in New York City.

Sheila leverages a network of other seasoned professionals with Ph.D.s and M.B.A.s as necessary to ensure the right team is in place to serve client needs.
